Camp Wilson 2007
Tyler R., Troop Historian
Dear fellow scouts and scouters,
This month Troop 112 was invited to and participated in Camp Wilson. Camp Wilson is a competitive camp where
the boys are all by themselves without any grown-up help. This camp included competing in the following: first aid,
archery, a scout knowledge relay, a hike-in with questions, a pancake contest, obstacle course, campsite relay, a camp game
and a maze. This was a little different this year because it was Camp Wilson's 60th anniversary so there wasn't fire
building or any other things like in previous years. Also our troop obtained really cool patches with some bird of prey
on them. Regarding on how we did though, these are the awards we got:
1) 1st place - First Aid, Hike-In, and Pancake Context
2) 2nd place - Obstacle Course, Overall Patrol and Overall Troop
3) 3rd place - Archery
We also did well in everything else. This was also such a cool campout because, for most of us, this was only
our first time. But the main point of the camp was to have fun, and boy, did we accomplish that!
