Stanley Lake Campout, September 2007
Tyler R., Troop Historian
Dear fellow scouts and scouters,
This month Troop 112 went to Stanley Lake, Idaho. We arrived Friday night when it was clear and dry. We set up camp, ate dinner and went to bed. Saturday was fairly rainy, but our scheduled hike was nice, pretty and we got to see a small waterfall. Also, we went five and a quarter miles round trip. We worked on advancements, played and ate through the rest of the day. We had a nice campfire Saturday night and quickly went to bed as it was starting to pour. That night we heard and saw thunder and lightning up to only a mile and a half away from our camp. That night it poured truckloads of water. The next morning we got up, dried a tiny bit, got packed up and sailed home. Even though we got a bit wet, we had a good experience.
